Office Cleaning – The Forgotten Few

You’re on top of your office cleaning, right? The hoover and the duster are brought out on a regular basis, and it looks clean. We are all a bit guilty of not paying so much attention to the things in our office that aren’t visibly dirty. Workplace Cleaning Solutions have put together a list of a few of the most common forgotten items when it comes to the office cleaning:

Furniture and Upholstery

The soft furnishings in your office are easy to overlook when it comes to cleaning, after all, they rarely look dirty! This also include cubicle partitions as they are made of the same fabric as the furniture. Dust and dirt accumulates on these on a daily basis.

Under Office Chairs

Although the backs and seats usually get a bit of cleaning attention (admittedly sometimes only from our bottoms) the underneath is almost always forgotten. It’s surprising how much dust can accumulate down there!

Fans and Air Conditioners

Fans and air conditioners move a lot of air around and if you let dust and debris build up on the blades of a fan, or in around your heater or a/c unit, that will all end up being blown around your office!

Computers

Strangely, the computer is one of the most missed items in the office when it comes to cleaning, considering most of us use them every day! Somehow we don’t think of it needing a bit of a clean, until we have to reach behind the PC tower to unplug something and find an entire family of dust bunnies!

Microwave

The poor office microwave never gets any attention when it comes to cleaning! Often victim to splatters and spillages, the microwave can be a particularly inviting breeding ground for bacteria. Not only could this become a health hazard for employees, it really doesn’t smell all that fresh either!
